Overview: The Outreach Committee oversees external relations to connect Docs in Progress programs and events to efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences and/or the general public. The Outreach Committee’s approaches are linked to Docs In Progress’ mission/vision, and define targets, goals, and milestones for success based on the organization’s strategic objectives. To this end, the Outreach Committee oversees the operation of Media Relations, the Docs In Progress Website, E-mail and Social Media Communications, and Community Outreach. While one does not have to have prior experience with Docs In Progress to help with outreach, there is a special program aimed at engaging Docs In Progress program alumni in outreach efforts called the Docs In Progress Ambassadors Program.
