Docs In Progress Workshop Screenings feature documentary works in progress by local and visiting filmmakers who screen their rough cuts and trailers for the public. Screenings are followed up by a moderated feedback session with the audience.  While audience participation is greatly encouraged, it is not required. Filmmakers and the general public are welcome to attend for a nominal ticket price.

Washington DC screenings are held six times a year (usually January/March/May/July/September/November) and take place at the Media and Public Affairs Building on the campus of the George Washington University (805 21st Street, NW Washington DC).  Baltimore screenings are held once a year (usually in October) and take place at Creative Alliance (3134 Eastern Avenue Baltimore, MD).

Our workshops are made possible by the generosity of our sponsors, The Documentary Center at the George Washington University and The Creative Alliance.

Having a full time job and active lifestyle really limits the amount of time I have to follow my passion, which currently is documentary filmmaking. Through classes and other programs, Docs in Progress has given me the opportunity to see the bigger picture of the process while focusing on the art of storytelling, to produce tangible results.
