Application to the Fiscal Sponsorship Program is only offered to filmmakers who are members of the Docs Insider Program. For more information on Docs Insiders, click here.*
*Note that membership in the Docs Insiders does not guarantee acceptance into the Fiscal Sponsorship Program. There is a separate application process.
There are three regular deadlines per year to apply for Fiscal Sponsorship:
February 1
June 1
October 1
The one-time application processing fee for our regular deadlines is $50 in addition to maintaining annual membership as a Docs Insider. Applicants will be informed within one month of the deadline of whether they have been accepted for Fiscal Sponsorship.
Out of Cycle Consideration
If you require a faster response, Docs In Progress also offers a Quick-Review Service. Please note that we must charge a higher application processing fee because this involves asking our review committee to consider and turnaround applications outside of the normal cycle. Applicants will be informed within two weeks of receiving a completed application and fees of whether they have been accepted for Fiscal Sponsorship. The one-time application processing fee for our Quick Review Service is $100 in addition to maintaining annual membership as a Docs Insider.
