Docs In Progress from Kosovo
Nearly 12 years after war ravaged Kosovo, a new generation of ethnic Albanians and Serbs are confronting the legacy of the past through documentary film. In 2010, DC-area documentary film nonprofit Docs In Progress collaborated with Dokufest (a Kosovo-based film festival) on a workshop for emerging documentary filmmakers. Several of the works produced by these filmmakers will be screened and the screening will be followed up by an audience feedback session with the filmmakers (who will be participating via Skype). This is a chance to see new works by these young filmmakers and give them a sense of how a U.S. audience relates to their documentaries. This program is co-sponsored by Dokufest and made possible through support from CEC ArtsLink.
This a free program.
