In this two-week daycamp, campers work in small teams to plan, shoot, and edit a short documentary filmed in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.  Campers will be provided access to video cameras and editing equipment.  Final projects will be shown in a mini-festival for family and friends and uploaded to YouTube and may also be featured at the Silver Spring Stories Film Festival to be held in September 2012.

Documentary Filmmaking Summer Camp I is intended for youth who will be entering Grades 7, 8, or 9 in Fall 2012.  The camp takes place from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm each weekday from June 25-July 6 (with no camp on July 4 due to the Independence Day Holiday).

The camp has a maximum of nine participants.  The cost of the camp is $850 per participant.  A $350 deposit is due upon registration with the remaining balance due by June 1).  Registration and payment must be received to guarantee a spot.  You may pay by credit card or check.
