has been a member of the board of Docs In Progress since 2012 and currently serves as Treasurer.
While completing her master’s in sociology at NYU in 2004, Kiley found her true passion in documentary filmmaking and has been working in production ever since. Most recently, as the director and producer of the documentary, Essakane Film which tells the story of Mali’s annual music festival and the geopolitical battle to make it happen. The film is currently in post production.
Prior to Essakane Film, Kiley was a project producer at the award-winning company Cortina Productions where she designed and produced complex, large budget multimedia projects for high-profile corporate, government, and university clients. Prior to Cortina, she spent three years at Rock Creek Productions working on documentary film development and producing government and corporate videos. She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from New York University and a BA in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Denver.
Kiley is passionate about the power of crowdfunding and its ability to kickstart new artists and businesses. She is thrilled to join the Docs in Progress board and support an organization that is so beneficial to emerging filmmakers.
